FAQs
At Bundaberg Presbyterian Church we love questions. Here are some of the more common questions people have about the practical side of what we do.
What should I wear?
You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in, though smart casual is the most common attire.
Will I be expected to give any money?
If you are visiting we do not expect that, however if you want to that is entirely upto you.
What happens at a service?
At any of our services you will find we do similar things. We sing songs, someone will read aloud from the Bible, someone will lead us in prayer and our minister will preach from the Bible. We take up an offering for God’s work and we enjoy a morning tea after the service for those who wish to stay after the service.
Will I be expected to do anything?
No, it is not expected that you do anything when visiting our services, though we do all stand together to sing. We would just love for you to come and join with us in worshipping God.
What do you believe?
Our beliefs are outlined on our ‘Beliefs Page’. If you have any questions we would love to talk to you about this more.
Do I have to send my Child(ren) to Sunday School or up to the kids talk?
No, it is entirely up to you as a parent if you would like to send them or keep them with you in church.
How long does a service usually go for?
A service generally runs for 1hr – 1hr 30mins.
How long does a sermon go for?
A sermon normally lasts around 20-35 minutes on average.
